As well as simply providing an album to browse, PhotoAlb contains many other functions including:

Slideshow - manual or automatic, with support for sound and video (see below for formats).
Printing - an index, a picture, or a WYSIWYG copy of the virtual album..
Re-ordering - Easily sort the pictures into the order you prefer using drag and drop.
Fullscreen Viewing - PhotoAlb will size the picture to fill the screen as best it can. Hardware accelerated Anti-Aliasing is available to remove pixelisation.
Comments - You can add unlimited comments to each photo, and have the first line appear under the photo with a drop-down box for easy editing.
Screen Saver - to display your Albums.
Effects editor - This allows you to adjust the following image properties: Luminosity, Brightness, Contrast, Colour, Red/Green/Blue content, and Gamma. There are also advanced algorithms for: Grayscale conversion, Negative image, Colourising, Embossing and Adjusting Sharpness.
Scanner Support - Use TWAIN Scanners, Digital Cameras, Video Capture devices and many other peripherals to capture images directly into PhotoAlb.
Browse the images on your hard disk by viewing directories as albums.
Database functions - Create field templates for your albums to aid the association of data with each picture. The data can then be browsed or searched.
Crop/Resizing/Rotation/Mirror functions.
Multimedia Support - PhotoAlb can catalogue and playback many audio and video formats. See the sample album for an example and below for a list of supported formats.
PDA support - Create albums which can be downloaded and viewed on your PocketPC or Casio Camera Watch.

PhotoAlb is shareware. In this case that means that you may try it free for 30 uses, after which time you must register it. There are also some limits on the un-registered version. To find out more please see registration.
